soap box

happy football season! the pats are 1-1, and the latter 1 could not be to a worse opponent...grrrrr.

and now for my sports soap box...

to start, i am anti, new englanders who are anti-tom brady. i know his hair is freakin sweet, and he dumped his girlfriend/fiance/wife/whatever for a super model, but tom brady is a future legend, not only here in the northeast, but throughout the country. so please, pay your respects to tom bieb......brady.

congratulations to the minnesota twinkies...you have clinched the AL centeral, and made the chisox stink more than manny's hair. so i wish you luck in getting sweeped by the rays, yanks, or rangers in the divisional series.

and now for my music soap box...

when i listen to "terrible things" debut album, featuring fred (of the color fred, and formerly of tbs) and andy (r.i.p. hot rod circuit), it brings me back to a better time of emo, circa 2002, when keyboards, drum machines, and hip hop samples were close to non existant. this album is, by far, the most solid emo/pop-punk album i have heard in a number of years, i highly recomend to any who take my music taste with a grain of salt....now all i have to do is make myself enjoy the band "mae" enough for me to justify to see terrible things as an opener at the middle east, wish me luck.

speaking of concerts, whats a justifiable reason to attend a ke$ha concert? i really need one.

and now for my everything soap box...

visiting maine with rachel a few weeks back, makes me long for a life that involves minimal traffic, mountains and pumpkinhead brews. when the job search commences, maine shall be a tour stop.

rachel and i will be attending the big e this weekend with good company. theres something about the smell of cow crap that truly makes me feel good inside.

i recommend seeing "the town"...my need to rob a bank and live in charlestown, ma has never been greater.

ive decided to route for the florida panthers once again...after driving through their parking lot, while in fort lauderdale i felt "the beezer"'s spirit running through me. in this attempt ive decided to try out fantasy hockey with half a heart....God knows i cant count on espn for hockey education.

i think ive soap boxed all that i can....goodnight

pool or a pond?

kevin the rehab tech coming to you, LIVE, from warwick, rhode island. After a 1.5 hour commute to my bed room I decided to treat myself to a dvd bundle that inludes "the vacation collection" and "caddyshack". Lately I've had a fascination with chevy chase, and these movies only fulfill that fascination. not only do i get to enjoy caddyshack with the likes of peter venk...bill murray, but with the bundle I am able to enjoy Vacation, European Vacation, Christmas Vacation, AND Vegas Vacation. Thats alot of Chevy...with a dash of Bill.

the chisox continue to claim the top spot in the AL central...but the twins are trailing a bit to closely for my liking...damn piranhas

remeber about 8 years ago when i found the downloading of music to be a mortal sin? well, no more, as a post college graduate in the middle of national recession, I am all for downloading music for free. I recently downloaded the rest of the motion city soundtrack discography that i already didnt own....surprisngly enough, I now realize that the immortal mark hoppus has simply been a drag on this band. the two albums he has produced are by far the weakest of the -ography....sorry mark.

new hampshire this weekend, followed by hickfest next...stay cool.

mile after mile

good evening, or morning if you want to get specific.

tomorrow you can find us on your local nesn channel sitting behind home plate slightly to the left, or first base side for those who are down. as a white sox fan for 16 years i feel kind of like that guy who takes a seat away from a regular church goer on easter sunday. go sox!....of the white variety.

its july and its hot, just prepping for coral springs, thats all.

inception is a movie that i have a need and want to see for a second time as soon as possible. i highly recommend this film to any living, breathing human.

i also recommend eclipse to any teenage girl or boy who is team edward....jacob and his ab's can get lost.

call me old fashioned, but i miss shows and the days before the word "scene" was used entirely too much.

"I designed them and delivered them with reckless abandon"

the declaration of independence day

happy fireworks, barbecuing, sunburn day! "fireworks" are now legal in the great state of rhode island, but the 20$ pack from wal mart rach and i got proves that the state isnt ready for the type that can blow off your index finger.

the new 3oh!3 album is my summer soundtrack and i dont feel the least bit guilty saying that.

michael buble' in concert is always a good idea....mohegan sun seems to be becoming more and more appealing every time i visit.

i am happy to say i no longer have to travel to the beautiful city of brockton on a daily basis...hello breakdown lane travel and needham.

please enjoy my trip to the carribian...i know i did.

makeover

"an attempt to capsulize a feeling..." has had a makeover. not sure if it was because i, myself am in need of a makeover, or if i was just sick of seeing a statue of george washington in the upper right corner of my blog. either way, i think this looks great.

so whats new, today is mothers day, so once again, i congratulate all of you birth givers in the world. last tuesday i enjoyed angels and airwaves and say anything at the house of blues in boson (r.i.p. avalon). say anything stole the show, but seeing tom in such close quarters, gives any blink-182 fan boy for the past 10 years reason to be happy. my next concert adventure shall be to see the original taking back sunday line up at the house of blues at the end of june. timberwolves, and cute with out the E, is a must.

jake peavy has dissapointed, paul konerko realizes he is in the last year of his contract...go chisox!

speaking of baseball, rachel and i were lucky enough to attend a yankees, red sox game yesterday. and i am quite disappointed in the amount of passion that this game lacked. i thought this was the "sox and yanks bro!"....the passion lacked and so did the t-service to the game.

i recommend listening to b.o.b.'s "the adventures of bobby ray", and imogen heap's "speak for yourself".

almost bahama bound...almost

61 days

and another one bites the dust...first the tacos, then the myspace, and now the flickr. yes its true, flickr will cease to exist in my life very soon. but, not to worry, i still will show you my life via amateur photography with the ever powerful facebook. flickr was less of a convenience these days and ive decided to submit to the beast known as "the book".

in emo news...it just occured to me that john nolan and shaun cooper (straylight run) are back in taking back sunday. what this means that the "original" band is in tact, and the same dudes that brought "tell all your friends" to my life will be bringing me another album to overplay along with an opportunity to see the originals live for the first time.

t-minus 61 days untill rachel and i are ft. lauderdale bound and soon to be bahama mama bond. my hat is purchased and our passports are in the mail...woot woot!

march madness

happy march 19th! its been two days since i last wore green and its been about 24 hours since ive been immensely interested in ncaa basketball. i decided to fill out my first bracket, and i have kansas winning it all...but truly im routing for burlington, vt's uvm to be the ultimate Cinderella story.

today i went to the dentist, the barber and the doctor. ive never been more approved by experts of their trade in one day.

currently reading "into the wild". makes me want to hitchhike the country and become one with the earth.....then again....maybe ill just continue blogging.

this june we will be cruising for a bruising to the bahamas. rachel and i, along with good company, will be trying our best to avoid a sun burn and motion sickness for 7 nights aboard the emerald princess.

almost opening day...almost time for jake peavy american league domination.

alice in wonderland isnt worth your time, or your 15 dollars due to technology fees....is it just me or didnt 3-d come out in the 80's?
