everyday im shuffling

good God what has happened to the chisox? oh wait, its april, and according to the mlb dictionary, this is all normal and is in no need of medical attention.

speaking of baseball, last thursday was my first trip to a good ol' "durham bulls" game. despite the lack of kevin costner memorbilia throughout the park, the atmosphere is a good one, and the selection on local micro brews provided is simply outstanding. i do find the in between inning entertainment to be...entertaining. but when the games and trivia goes on EVERY inning, something known as "overkill" comes into play.

last night was the wwe draft and i was able to attend at the rbc center, here in raleigh. despite being completely entertained, i was a little dissapointed by the lack of hulkamania t shirts in attendance.

pretty lights

the nhl playoffs have started, and as i watch the red wings/coyotes game, it is quite apparent that the coyotes have no business being on the ice with one of the nhl's most respected franchises. i am routing for the "b'z", and find great interest in watching them play the "habs" in the first round. go b'zzzzzz!

i have decided to become commissioner of a fantasy baseball league. currently the season is in week two and i am currently in dead last place. as commissioner, being in last place is very embarrassing, yet, what is more embarrassing is the fact that no one has paid their league fees as of this date...if you read this, and owe me the fees, consider this to be your 3rd billing cycle.

tomorrow "the cable guy", no, not larry, comes to install the ever popular hd, ,home dvr, on demand package to 1327. i am quite excited to watch the remainder of the nhl playoffs in hd, not to mention monday night raw.

speaking of professinal wrestling, my interest has grown as of late. i notice a trend...i originally was a dedicated follower in my younger high school days, then lost interest untill my late college days, lost interest again, and now have found great interest in my late 20's. the trend, seems to be sporadic, but raw is coming to raleigh, and i have a ticket...bc im....AWWWEEESSSSSSOOOOMMMMEEEEEE.

a possible wedding date and location is soon to be finalized, so please stay glued to those mail boxes, those save the dates are soon to come.

manny being manny

spring has sprung...baseball season is underway and im content w the chisox start. i do have a bit of anxiety pertaining to their pitching, but with peavy soon to come i hope these worries turn to glory.

being 15 minutes from the arena, i tried to catch the "caniac" fever of the carolina hurricanes fan base. unfortunately there will not be any caniac playoff fever this season, as the "'canes" dropped their final game of the season, along with the final playoff spot...better luck next year.

this past tuesday i went to "the brewery" in raleigh. by the name you would think it is a bar/restaurnat. but no, its a music venue no larger than a 3 bedroom apartment. not only was the size something to behold, but the walls filled with graffiti throughout the entire venue made it that much more enjoyable. as my second visit to the areas live music scene, i am thuroughly impressed with their venues and the dirtiness of them. as for the bands, senses, fail, the ghost inside, and man overboard (i did miss"transit"), the opening bands stole the show, which made for a sub par senses fail set.

thank goodness i purchased my first set of golf clubs the same week as the masters...who needs lessons when i can watch hours of play by the worlds best and quite simply acquire the skills by osmosis?

we are all aware of the show "tosh.0" on comedy central, and i must admit, when listening to his cd he brings up a good point. the bit goes something like:

"why does barry bonds need an asterisk next to his name in the record books, when babe ruth doesn't have an asterisk, and he was allowed to set records before african-americans were allowed to play baseball"

sure, its a comedy bit, but it does speak some truth.

until next time.
