ahhhhh...men

good morning to you on this super bowl sunday. i have my home made aaron "mr." rodgers jersey ready to go, and pray that my super bowl squares pay for a few tanks of gas down to north carolina.

speaking of north carolina...the news has broke, and i will soon to be a resident of the great state of north carolina, raleigh to be exact. come march i have very tough decions to make...unc? nc state? or duke? no matter what i choose, what is most important is that there will be no snow to be shoveled.

i do find promise in the 2011 chisox, with exception of the hot corner and a replacement peavy through may. needless to say, i look forward to the season, and hope for a twinkie/tiger free year.

"There's a crack in the edge at the end of the world
where I will sit with my love in this fluorescent swirl
eat us up, break it down, to the tiniest cell
in our room with a view and a window to heaven"

yogi

managing your blog is like having a 2nd job...is the check in the mail?

happy nfl playoffs! the pats are predicted to win it all just as in 2007, and we all know how that turned out. so for goodness sakes, lets keep our fingers crossed.

i had the pleasure of attending "the met" aka "the met cafe" reincarnated in the bucket pawtucket ri. the venue itself is great, perfect size for all those emo.....excuse me....scene kids to watch bands play aggresively and not be judged by characters form the jersey shore. as for the location, make sure to lock your car, and keep your belongings with you.

check out rachel's bro's band...theyre "invogue" and have a stage presence that i've yet to see in a local band:

sleep city

rachel and i have found that wheel of fortune for the wii is proabably the most unfair game ever created.

big news coming in the near future...stay tuned.

happy holidays, you...

happy holidays, you...

to quote the great blink-182

xmas season is in full swing, and i have yet to finish my xmas shopping. xmas is that time of year, where presents are exchanged amongst people that u see consistently throughout the year, and enjoying the company of one another throughout the year is a gift enough, or its that time of the year where u exchange presents with the people you only see once a year, and seeing each other for that one moment should be a gift in its self.

but who doesnt like presents?

scrooged, jingle all the way, and christmas vacation are 3 xmas movies that should be on anybodys xmas viewing list.

my immune system has been on the fritz and so has my computer...curses!

did u know that diddy diry money isnt p diddys new name? but rather a group? im getting too old for diddy and his antics.

merry christmas to you and your friends and family. i hope its stress free and you get that turbo man your father promised you on christmas eve morning.

my beautiful dark twisted fantasy

as i listen to kanyes' "my beautiful dark twisted fantasy" for the first time, i can already guarantee a better album than 808's and heartbreaks...i have yet to hear the use of auto tune...jesus walks!

speaking of music...this past week has been musical overload...ive started to discover the equivilant of an emo jesus to todays scene, known as craig owens. girl talk released his new album with little warning. ke$ha released an ep thats more crude and humurous than her last album, and i just admited to listening to ke$ha....theres more to this musical onslaught, but ill leave that to your own musical tastes.

dont lie and tell me this didnt make you feel warm inside.

t minus 14 days untill rach and i become rowdy, bleacher bums at the pats/jets monday night game.

the job search has commenced once again. my credentials have improved and so has my job search options...wish me luck.

paranormal

woah woah woah...rach and i just saw paranormal activity 2 and i just got my second dose of anxiety induced heart palpations. if paranormal 1 was an A then paranormal 2 is a strong B+. i do recommend seeing this movie and i do recommend not being home alone after the movie...ooops

as i watch the season opener of the celtics and heat, i now realize why lebron is just so infuriating...its his relentless matching color schemes! the head bands, the bracelets, the mouth guards...the lip stick!

as rachel and i walked into king richards fair this past weekend I couldnt help to think of the south park episode when the class visits a living museum where the employees refuse to break character. i was in awe of people's overall weirdness and enjoyment in pretending to be a knight while they drink mt. dew. by the end of the day, the joust enticed myself and good company to heckle the dark knight and call his mother a wench.

ive decided to take part in my first state election...vote or die!

23

so far i've painted a pumpkin, watched 5 scary movies, and decided what my occupational halloween costume will be (...lets paint a happy little cloud over here). what do all these life choices mean? it means its october and paranormal activity 2 comes out in 8 days. i of course will be most certain to see this movie, but i do worry about the hype surrounding it. the tv spots have taken away a bit of the magic the first one provided, but my hopes are sill as high as mika's lifeless body was when it was flung at the camera to close the first movie.

and i quote: "congratulations to the minnesota twinkies...you have clinched the AL centeral, and made the chisox stink more than manny's hair. so i wish you luck in getting sweeped by the rays, yanks, or rangers in the divisional series.". .....what sport analyst couldve precdicted such accurate results? see 9/22/10 installment of "an attempt to capsulize a feeling...".

jimmy eat world, or simply JEW has re-entered my life with their new album "invented" and their (new album to me) "chase the light". jew is one of the bands from 10 years ago that has managed to take their 15 minutes of fame, disappear back into the dreaded emo crowd, and yet continue to make solid, catchy, fun, pop rock albums.

its official, fantasy football has taken over at least 1 hour of my day, sunday-friday. not to say, i am sitting on the computer fathoming what trades and pick ups I am able to come up with. but rather, i take 5 minutes out of my life periodically throughout the day to think of who a good #2 running back to chris johnson would be for my team, and whether I should play T.O. or ochocinco this week. go warwick wedgies!

rachel and i dare to enter salem massachusetts on a weekend in october this sunday. maybe we should wait until november because the whole witch scenario doesnt disappear after the 31st, but then whats the fun in witches when your mind is on turkey.

its a jersey thing.

soap box

happy football season! the pats are 1-1, and the latter 1 could not be to a worse opponent...grrrrr.

and now for my sports soap box...

to start, i am anti, new englanders who are anti-tom brady. i know his hair is freakin sweet, and he dumped his girlfriend/fiance/wife/whatever for a super model, but tom brady is a future legend, not only here in the northeast, but throughout the country. so please, pay your respects to tom bieb......brady.

congratulations to the minnesota twinkies...you have clinched the AL centeral, and made the chisox stink more than manny's hair. so i wish you luck in getting sweeped by the rays, yanks, or rangers in the divisional series.

and now for my music soap box...

when i listen to "terrible things" debut album, featuring fred (of the color fred, and formerly of tbs) and andy (r.i.p. hot rod circuit), it brings me back to a better time of emo, circa 2002, when keyboards, drum machines, and hip hop samples were close to non existant. this album is, by far, the most solid emo/pop-punk album i have heard in a number of years, i highly recomend to any who take my music taste with a grain of salt....now all i have to do is make myself enjoy the band "mae" enough for me to justify to see terrible things as an opener at the middle east, wish me luck.

speaking of concerts, whats a justifiable reason to attend a ke$ha concert? i really need one.

and now for my everything soap box...

visiting maine with rachel a few weeks back, makes me long for a life that involves minimal traffic, mountains and pumpkinhead brews. when the job search commences, maine shall be a tour stop.

rachel and i will be attending the big e this weekend with good company. theres something about the smell of cow crap that truly makes me feel good inside.

i recommend seeing "the town"...my need to rob a bank and live in charlestown, ma has never been greater.

ive decided to route for the florida panthers once again...after driving through their parking lot, while in fort lauderdale i felt "the beezer"'s spirit running through me. in this attempt ive decided to try out fantasy hockey with half a heart....God knows i cant count on espn for hockey education.

i think ive soap boxed all that i can....goodnight
